Seahaven Towers Solitaire

Seahaven Towers is a FreeCell family solitaire game with a very different puzzle shape. Start a free game with ten face-up tableau columns and two occupied cells, then move every card to the four foundations. No download or registration is required.

How to Play Seahaven Towers

  • The deal uses one 52-card deck.
  • Ten tableau columns receive five cards each.
  • The two remaining cards begin in the two cells above the tableau.
  • Build tableau sequences downward by the same suit.
  • Only Kings can start an empty tableau column.
  • Build each foundation upward from Ace to King by suit.

Unlike classic FreeCell, Seahaven Towers does not use four empty cells or alternating-color tableau builds. The tight two-cell opening and same-suit movement create a more constrained planning challenge.

Controls

Select a face-up card or valid same-suit sequence and drag it to another tableau column, a cell, or its foundation. Use Undo to reverse a move, Hint to reveal a legal next move, and New Game to deal a new numbered layout. When every foundation reaches King, the game is complete.

Seahaven Towers Strategy

Clear the two starting cells early, but do not fill them again unless the card opens a useful tableau move. Preserve empty columns for Kings and keep same-suit runs together whenever possible. Moving an Ace or low card to a foundation can expose a card that unlocks a longer sequence.

Play the opening in this order

  1. Scan the whole board for Aces, Twos, and the low cards buried deepest.
  2. Look for a safe foundation or tableau move that clears one of the 2 occupied cells.
  3. Build downward in the exact same suit: 9♠ may go on 10♠, but 9♥ may not.
  4. Only a King, or a legal sequence beginning with a King, may enter an empty column.
  5. A legal sequence may move together. The limit is (empty cells + 1) × (empty columns + 1).
  6. Release low cards first and complete all 4 foundations from Ace through King.

Tips for a better deal

  • Check the suit, not just the color, before planning a tableau connection.
  • Do not fill all 2 cells at once; an open cell increases the sequence length you can move.
  • Identify a usable King before clearing a column, because no other rank can enter it.
  • Send low cards to the foundations when safe, but do not bury a card still needed to build the tableau.
