Golf Solitaire
Golf Solitaire is a fast, open-information solitaire game. All thirty-five tableau cards are face up, so the challenge is choosing the best order before the stock runs out.
How to Play Golf Solitaire
- The tableau has seven columns of five face-up cards.
- Only the bottom card of each column is available.
- Play a card when its rank is exactly one higher or one lower than the current play-pile card.
- Suits and colors do not matter.
- Ace is low and King is high. In this version, Ace and King do not connect.
- If no bottom card can be played, draw one card from the stock.
- The stock cannot be redealt. Clear all thirty-five tableau cards to win.
Click a legal bottom card to send it to the play pile. The Hint button highlights a playable card; when no tableau move exists, it highlights the stock instead.
Golf Solitaire Strategy
Before choosing between two legal cards, check which move continues into a longer chain. Prefer clearing a column that exposes another useful rank. Save stock cards for genuine dead ends, because every unnecessary draw reduces the number of chances left.
Golf Solitaire FAQ
Why can I not play a visible card?
Only the lowest remaining card in each column is available. A card higher in the column must wait until every card below it has been removed.
Do suits matter?
No. Only the rank difference matters.
Can I play King on Ace?
No. This version does not wrap between Ace and King: Ace connects only to 2, and King connects only to Queen.
When do I win?
You win when all thirty-five tableau cards are cleared, even if cards remain in the stock.
